- ASL Aviation Holdings is a global aviation services company committed to operating our businesses safely and ethically and in full compliance of all laws and regulations.
- ASL is developing its airlines responsibly to reflect the urgent needs of our planet for cleaner aviation, reduced carbon emissions and/or a robust carbon emissions redress scheme.

ASL Airlines Ireland’s ESG activities and policies reflect the Group’s awareness of its responsibilities to people and the planet. Aviation is vital to global social and economic wellbeing and will continue to advance essential connectivity between countries, economies, people and families. However, ASL is mindful that aviation, while fundamental, must also be sustainable, and we aim to promote and aspire to this sustainability through our ESG commitments.
At ASL we monitor and measure our carbon emissions and our environmental sustainability activities to ensure our progress on our path to net-zero emissions, in addition to our social initiatives. These measurements and activities are summarised in our ESG Snapshots, ESG Corporate Reports and Gender Pay Gap Report.
Environmental Sustainability Commitments and Endorsements
ASL Aviation Holdings has endorsed both the Toulouse Declaration and the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Fly Net-Zero programme.
In February 2022, ASL Aviation Holdings formally endorsed the ‘Toulouse Declaration’ which followed an aviation summit hosted by the French Presidency of the European Union. This declaration was widely endorsed by airline and airport representative associations and further commits the aviation industry to meeting carbon emissions reduction targets by 2030 and to reaching net-zero emissions by 2050.
ASL Airlines Ireland, ASL Airlines Belgium, ASL Airlines France and FlySafair, South Africa are members of IATA. At the 77th IATA Annual General Meeting in Boston, USA, on 4 October 2021, a resolution was passed by IATA member airlines committing them to achieving net-zero carbon emissions from their operations by 2050. This pledge brings air transport in line with the objectives of the Paris agreement to limit global warming to 1.5°C.
