A well-managed group with a focus on maintaining quality and reliability on our core short-haul ACMI business, ASL executed a very positive, forward-looking strategy to control costs whilst investing in aircraft and new technologies to meet the requirements of our Group and our customers to reduce and eventually eliminate carbon emissions.
ASL Aviation Holdings DAC is a global aviation services company with its Corporate Office in Dublin, Ireland. The group consists of multiple companies including six airlines, maintenance facilities and several leasing entities.
ASL is a world leader in ACMI wet-lease airline operations for major express freight integrators, postal and e-commerce companies under long-term contracts. The business’ long-haul cargo division holds traffic rights to and slots at several strategic hubs in Asia and North America.
In its results filed for 2021 ASL Aviation Holdings reported revenues up 24.4% on 2020. Profits were €43.6m after tax, with revenue of €1,131.5 million and cash reserves growing 46.3% year-on-year to €193.2 million.
The group has four European based airlines, ASL Airlines Ireland, ASL Airlines Belgium, ASL Airlines France and ASL Airlines United Kingdom. Joint venture and associate airlines K-Mile Asia and FlySafair are based in Thailand and South Africa respectively with the Johannesburg based FlySafair now the domestic market leader.
ASL Airlines France also operates scheduled and charter passenger services and ASL Airlines Ireland has extensive passenger experience including multi-year transatlantic operations for Aer Lingus and short haul operations for Ryanair.
In August 2022 ASL acquired full control of maintenance organisation (MRO) X-air services, based in Brussels and Liège airports, Belgium. This acquisition secured ASL’s maintenance requirements for both its B737 Classic and B737 Next Generation aircraft, as well as light maintenance requirements for our B747-400 widebody fleet.
ASL also supports its 130 aircraft fleet and leasing activities with two airlines services companies based in Basel, Switzerland and Budapest, Hungary.
